In its present state, the temple of Scharrachbergheim dates of 1895-1896 as for a lot of the building. It was built after the promulgation of the end of the simultanéum on April 19th, 1893\. The tower - bell tower (old(former) tour(ballot)-chorus) of the 12th century was kept(preserved), but gone back up(raised) of a level, as well as some monumental sculptures of this time(period). Registration(Inscription) dated of 1737 being in the angle of collateral left(awkward), mentioning a restoration(catering), results(comes) from the old(former) ossuary transformed into chapel at that time. The construction of 1895-1896 replaced a building(ship) which had been already transformed and that we know thanks to a plan of Brion and of photographies: in the nave of the 12th century, an ossuary to the North had been added, they transformed into chapel in 1737, a chapel in the South, and the chorus(choir) had been extended at the end of the 15th century. The front-door of the enclosure, today got deleted, carried the date of 1468: the stone was used in the wall of the enclosure, as well as a relief of the 12th century representing a head (of lion?).
The temple of Scharrachbergheim is built in stones of coated sandstones. Only the bell tower and the previous(former) angles of the nave are stone of size. The tower except - work in facade contains 4 levels, with light retreats(withdrawals). The nave of rectangular plan consists of a central vessel culminated by 4 spans, flanked(thrown) by bottom(stocking) - highly-rated of 3 spans flatware in full half cradle - round arch(hanger) resting(basing) on small columns in cast iron. The chorus(choir), of the same width as the central vessel, is in 3 pieces. Some monuments exist in the old(former) cemetery.
