Discover this castle erected by the Dukes of Lorraine, who very quickly imposed himself as the protector of the chapter of Remiremont.

Currently, only the large tower and the chapel are still visible. Discover the history of this place narrated by the members of the Association Racines de Bruyères et environs. As the castle is private, its access is exceptional during the European Heritage Days.

The castle of Heathers was based(established) in the Xth century by the duke of Lorraine. The emperor Henry VI would have stayed there in 1196\. The building was destroyed by a fire in 1715\. From quadrangular shape, it was protected by two surrounding walls(speakers) and counted two doors, among which one was protected by the big said tower "of Cabée".
