The first Gothic church in the Rhine region, this architectural jewel is the fruit of 900 years of history, from the first Romanesque church (11th century) to the neo-Gothic additions of the 19th century (reconstruction of the towers).

Built by 1050, the church was endowed with stony vaults further to its fire by 1200\. A project manager realised later the octagonal dome which covers crossing, that he drilled windows, then he proceeded to the arching of crosspieces by crossings of ogives and to the addition of both oriental(eastern) spans of the nave. Nave ended by a western massif in two tours(towers,ballots). Organ Callinet of 1855, restored and supplemented by A. Kern in 1983\.
