Knowledge and know-how at the Fondation de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame which, at the bedside of Strasbourg Cathedral for 800 years, contributes to its preservation through its workshops, its collections and the management of its heritage.

The history of the Fondation de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame and that of the Strasbourg cathedral are intimately linked. The Foundation has been dedicated to the cathedral for nearly 800 years: at the origin of its construction, it is now dedicated to its maintenance and conservation-restoration.
The workshops of the Fondation de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame have watched over the cathedral for centuries through their operating faculty, heir to the builders. Their materials science is enriched over time and generates new jobs.
