Come and discover the historic headquarters of the Mumm House and its current uses by visiting many rooms, during the assembly of exhibition or rehearsal.

These visits are provided by the Directorate of Culture and Heritage of the city of Reims and a guide-lecturer of the Tourist Office of the Grand Reims.

In 1898, the architects Armand stammerer and Ernest Kalas build for the house Mumm a cellar of expedition(shipping), place where they store ready champagne bottles to be sent. The ostentatious facade divides into two parts(parties): brick-built lower part(party) red drilled by one lightning monumental and the upper part(party) compound(made up) of 5 panels(signs) in mosaic of enamel separated by caryatids. This decorative frieze illustrates different stages of the development of the champagne. The Cellar, bought by the City of Reims in 2010, was rehabilitated by the cabinet(office) of architecture The Scheldt in a «spirit of fallow land». Opened since April, 2015, it is intended(designed) to receive the cultural activities in the past sheltered to the old(former) middle school(college) of the Jesuits: rooms of distribution(broadcasting) and of creation, space out exhibitions(exposures), Workshop(Studio) of Culture and workshop(studio) of Heritage.
