Japanese calligraphy by Rei Hayashimoto
Rei Hayashimoto will be present in the afternoon from 2pm to 4pm near the exhibition «Samurai». She will calligraphy the given names on demand (on sale). The opportunity to discover the lightness of the brush and admire the beauty of the gesture of this traditional Japanese art.
Rei Hayashimoto will also make, during the «Rendez-vous avec les enfants», 3 workshops of 30 minutes for children from 6 years: at 10 am, 10.45 am and 11.30 am.
About Rei Hayashimoto
Originally from Japan (Kyoto), Rei Hayashimoto has been practicing Japanese calligraphy since the age of 4. Impressed by the dynamics of the brush movement and the delicacy of Chinese ink writing, she learned this art in primary school.
After studying at the Nihon Shuji Institute of Japanese Calligraphy in Yokohama, she obtained a master’s certificate (called «Shihan») in 2005 allowing her to teach. She moved to France in 2014, near Metz. She leads workshops, teaches sumié, calligraphy and offers works that she personalizes with calligraphy names.
