Since the first of July 2011, the ruins of Vaujours Castle are open to the public after twenty years of closure. The romantic remains of the castle of Vaujours (XV century) appear in a green setting in the middle of its moat. This beautiful enclosure is dotted with numerous round towers including one with machicolations and bosses. The castle consists of two courtyards, the lower courtyard and the high courtyard. In the high courtyard, we discover the remains of the seigneurial dwelling built in the XV century, the keep and the chapel castrale.
