A park with historical origins

Accessible from the entrance of the museum, the 5,000 m² sculpture park presents 20 works by artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The park was built on the old gardens, vegetable gardens and orchards of the hospice. These landscaped spaces now give us access to a remarkable view of the Théols River, the Saint-Paterne bridge, the White Tower and the architecture of the Gothic chapel.

Laurent Le Deunff, magician of textures and illusions

Passionate about drawing animals and chimeric creatures, it is through sculpture that the Hospice Saint-Roch Museum celebrates the work of French artist Laurent Le Deunff. Master of illusion, he plays with materials, sometimes inabitual, to give life to his animals. His work is the expression of time, dreams and metamorphosis.
Great Owl, Great Owl, Snow Owl, 2021.

Vladimir Skoda, the infinite contemplation

Czech artist, he creates a real perspective of the spherical form. Inspired by the vibrating and rotating movement of the mirror in his sculptures, he gives rise to a distorted perception of the environment and a vision of the infinite in the movement. His work invites the infinite contemplation of the bright reflections of the sun on the polished surface of the mirror.
Magical Planet II, 2016.
