À propos du lieu

Although the first mentions of Billy’s church date from the 12th century, some parts of the building were built in the 10th or 11th century. This church depended on the nearby abbey of Selles-sur-Cher; it has undergone several extensions and remodeling during its history. It was decorated with wall paintings in the 15th century, during a phase of restoration financed by the family of Château-Chalon, lords of Billy and vassals of the lords of Saint-Aignan.
