The church of Montlivault which depended on the abbey of Pontlevoy, was originally a monument of the XIIth century including a simple nave, a chorus(choir) strongly put out of true southward, covered with a (restored) vaulted vault and a vaulted semicircular apse there cul-de-four. It is at the end of the XVth century and of the XVIth century when many transformations and enlargements are brought: the north wall is drilled of three big(great) windows, a low side of five spans covered with vaults of ogives is added to the South, as well as an impressive bell tower. It is squared flanked(thrown) robust foothills in every angle and in the northeast, an octagonal tower of staircase. The west facade is drilled of a beautiful portal(gate), with which the opening in basket arch richly decorated with moldings am topped with a tympanum which was walled up and that after restoration(catering) is again perforated. Indoors, the hall occupying the ground floor of the tower is covered with a vault of ogives falling again on nerves(caps) sculpted of foliages or expanding cherubs of badges. A similar vault covers the room of the first floor. During the restoration(catering) of coatings, wall paintings(paints) were discovered. The first stage(scene) represents «the last mass of saint Denis», she back up " the Saint-Trinity ". They would be the XVIth century. Since April 12th, 2011, further to this discovery, the church is registered from now on in conformance with(for) historic monuments in its entirety.
