The Chapel of the Hotel-Dieu was consecrated in 1170 by the bishop of Chartres, Jean de Salisbury, under the title: John the Baptist. Several times destroyed, it takes its current configuration from its reconstruction around 1630\. It depended on the Hôtel-Dieu or «Maison-Dieu», the first hospital in the city, until the opening of a new establishment in 1910 bd Louis-Terrier. Currently an exhibition venue available to associations, individuals, companies and services of the Town Hall.
