Les Grands Jardins - Parc de la Duchesse de Portsmouth
Place de la Résistance 18700 Aubigny-sur-Nère
In 1723, Louise de Keroualle came to settle in the Château des Stuarts d'Aubigny. She had the gardens of Aubigny (known as the Grands Jardins) enlarged and embellished, making them a magnificent park, designed, it is said, by Notre. From the French garden, there remain the superb charmilles. The English garden occupies the center of the promenade with its lawns, its multiple varieties of trees... and its marble group «the past and the future». Two redwoods classified "Remarkable trees".
