The Place du Centre offers a beautiful panorama of the richness and diversity of civil architecture from the 15th to the present day. The remarkable half-timbered houses of the fifteenth testify to the know-how of the master carpenters guingampais whose achievements can still be found today in Pontrieux and Tréguier. At the end of the 16th century, the wood-panelled construction was abandoned in favour of the stone buildings. The ochre granite facades are decorated with niches, dormers and beautiful carved doors.
