Among the most powerful men in Brittany at the end of the Middle Ages, Viscount John II of Rohan, a member of the family of Anne of Brittany, demanded at the end of the 15th century the construction of a brand new castle to defend the capital from his viscount: Pontivy.
Closed following the collapse of 2014, the Pontivy Castle continues to give us its secrets.
The site’s safety protocol will not make it possible to discover the interiors, but these 45-minute visits will undoubtedly be a good way to put in mouth before larger discoveries, as soon as the conditions are met! (Individual access to the castle chapel as part of Art in the Chapels).
