Free visit/ Abbey of Bon repos
At the edge of the canal from Nantes to Brest, the Cistercian abbey of Bon-Repos is located in a preserved area (Natura 2000).
Necropolis of the Rohan family, it was founded in 1184. After turbulent centuries, between prosperity and crisis, the abbey was abandoned to the French Revolution.
It was in 1986, under the impulse of a few locals, that the association of the Companions of the Abbey of Bon-Repos was created. Then began a vast restoration project, which allowed the impressive renovation of the cloister and part of the 18th century abbey.
Anchored in its territory, the association offers a rich cultural program, resonating with the place, and accessible to as many people as possible: creative residencies, exhibitions, events, etc.
During your visit, you will have access to the exhibition "In the footsteps of Alice, the sequel" by Dominique Richard and the installation [.Beyond.. ] by Cédric Verdure.
