Church rebuilt in 1570 on the site of an older building of which parts remain in the current building. The origin probably goes back to the Templars. In 1160, the fief was given to the order of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem. The influx of pilgrims was such that an external pulpit was placed against the southern facade. Indeed, the cult of Sainte-Anne attracted many sailors and that of the Passion gathered a crowd of pilgrims on Good Friday. A pilgrim from the Holy Land would have left a fragment of the True Cross there. A small gold silver cross from the 13th century preserves this relic. The pilgrimage itself dates back to the 12th century.
