In Gallo, the "Patiau" designates the small block of earth, placed on the tower, from which the pot is made. Thus begins the story of men and women who for more than 1,000 years have shaped the land of Saint-Jean-la-Poterie! The Patiau, a centre of art and ceramic history, tells the story of this unique ceramic heritage and invites visitors to discover the perpetual gesture of the decorators of the Saint-Jean-de-Bretagne pottery and the creativity of contemporary ceramics. Three spaces, three atmospheres: the museum space, the pottery decoration workshop and the boutique gallery.
