The exhibition Homage to Brittany, showcases about forty pieces from the latest Gwenn Ha fashion show by designer-designer-embroiderer Pascal Jaouen.
Faithful to these emblematic colours, the collection proposed by Pascal Jaouen consists only of black and white creations, and reappropriates the Breton symbols, such as the ermine, highlighted with the «centerpiece» of the Gwenn Ha Du show, or through traditional Breton costumes revisited…
Beyond the homage paid by Pascal Jaouen to Brittany, this exhibition is also and above all the reflection of this «paw» that the designer-stylist embroiderer prints in the world of contemporary fashion.
Each creation reveals both the technical qualities of the embroiderer and the artistic qualities of the designer. Typical Breton embroidery stitches and contemporary cuts blend perfectly. Traditional Breton cuts are also revisited, reworked to offer stunning pieces of originality and aesthetics.
