It is in the middle of the current hospital, behind the station of Dijon, that there is a majestic sculpture called the Well of Moses, an intact work sculpted by Claus Sluter, more than 500 years ago.
This former monastery was built by Philippe le Hardi at the end of the 14th century.
The realism and magnificence of the Calvary make the Well of Moses one of the masterpieces of the international gothic. This masterpiece by Sluter, brilliantly illustrates the richness and finesse of Burgundy-Flemish sculpture of the late 14th century.
The large park surrounding the well of Moses also offers a pleasant walk.
