Mentioned since the beginning of the 14th century, the building benefits from a double architectural influence of Champagne and Lorraine. One can still see the watchtower, the traces of a double drawbridge with arrows, an astonishing bell tower on bretèche, gunboats and loopholes, a bossage in "pustules" and a massive round tower, all testimonies of a rich medieval past.
