Château de Lacour d'Arcenay
Château de Lacour d'Arcenay, 21210 Lacour-d'Arcenay
- Côte-d'Or
- Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
Beautiful Castle at the end of a long driveway with double entrance lined with lime trees, surrounded by water moats. Built in the seventeenth century by the abbot Espiard on the ruins of a strong house active during the war of 100 years and then ruined at the time of the League, the Castle was finished by his nephew Claude Espiard and was transmitted from by succession or marriage to the current owners. From a very harmonious U-shaped plan, flanked by two round towers, the Castle has been hardly altered. Beautiful outbuildings with dovecote of 800 boulins of the same time as the Castle.
