Built at the beginning of the XVIIIth century, the Hôtel-Dieu of Cluny was raised(brought up) according to a simple and functional architecture. It consists of a main building(ship) receiving in the centre the chapel and, on both(all) sides, both rooms of the sick. You can admire in the chapel the splendid marble statues of Carrare of the Mausoleum which the cardinal de Bouillon wished to build in the abbey of Cluny and many more remarkable furniture elements resulting(coming) from the abbey (altar, Easter candlestick, tabernacle of brother Placide). In the south wing, dating the XVIIIth century, you will be able also to admire the room of the administrators(directors), decorated with numerous paintings(boards) and Apothicairerie Empire, presenting a very beautiful collection of pharmaceutical earthenwares, with tin and with copper. During visit, you will be able also to discover the remarkable furniture heritage of the Hôtel-Dieu
