Église Saint-Loup de Cézy
1 place du Général de Gaulle, 89410 Cézy
- Yonne
- Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
Gothic church several remodeled, beautiful statuary that recalls the importance of the nearby River Yonne. The parish church, dedicated to Saint Loup, is quite imposing: it consists of a long nave flanked by collateral and a choir with flat bedside. It is dominated by the silhouette of its framing spire that rises above the first chorus span. Despite major restorations in the nineteenth century, the nave, with its three bays, seems to be the oldest part, probably dating back to the end of the twelfth century.
