Theatre performance "Boulevard Pasteur" by Jean-Claude Idea by the Volkshochschulen

Created in 2013, the UPT (Popular Universities of the Theatre) brought together hundreds of artists, actors, intellectuals and more than 60,000 spectators. To date, they constitute a network that crosses France and Belgium. They are active notably in Paris, Avignon, Brussels, Vence, Blois, Versailles and Franche-Comté, where they host various free events, aimed at "Rendering the Popular Reason", according to the beautiful formula of Diderot. The UPT are working to build bridges between citizens, philosophy and theatre.
