OT Coeur du Jura
The Collegiate Church of Saint Hippolyte in Poligny houses 2 organs:
- The tribune organ created by Arisitide Cavaillé-Coll. It was inaugurated by the famous Lefébure-Wély on November 24, 1859. Poligny’s organ is contemporary with that of Sainte-Clotilde in Paris, an instrument that inspired César Franck’s organ work. The instrument, classified as a “historic monument”, was perfectly restored in 1990 by the factor Dominique Lalmand and inaugurated by Michel Chapuis.
- The smaller heart organ was built in 1867 by the Maison Cavaillé-Coll in Paris. It has undergone various modifications and restoration works over the centuries.
During this evening you will attend an organ concert as soloist of Samuel LIEGEON.
