Created in 1798, the Museum of Grenoble has continued to enrich itself to present more than 900 works to visitors today. A unique ensemble, both with its collections of ancient and modern and contemporary art, which allows to explore the history of Western painting from the thirteenth to the twenty-first century, with for each period major works: great masterpieces of classical painting Flemish, Dutch, Italian, Spanish; one of the richest collections in Europe of the twentieth century; all the major trends of contemporary art since 1945.
