Located on the Rovorée estate (24ha) classified today as a "sensitive natural area", on the banks of Lake Geneva in Yvoire, the mansion "La Châtaignière" was built in 1926 by the architect Maurice Turrettini for the Cozon, a very prosperous Lyonnais silky family. The architecture of this building is influenced by the Savoyard style of some noble houses and village cures of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Residence of resort until 1970, it is bought in 1997 by the Conservatory of the coastal space and lakeshores then entrusted to the Department of Haute-Savoie which rehabilitates it in cultural place in 2007\. Each summer the Directorate of Cultural Affairs offers temporary exhibitions on the history of the territory, fine arts, archaeology.
