Following in the footsteps of the Cordeliers convent at the Crozatier Museum
The convent of the Cordeliers was founded in the 13th century by Etienne de Chalencon then bishop of Puy. The location, outside the old ramparts, is on a busy pilgrimage route. The convent was destroyed in the 18th century and then transformed into a bourgeois house.
The visit will begin at the Crozatier Museum in which are preserved elements of the former convent of the Cordeliers like these capitals histories of the life of the Virgin.
The visit will continue at 1, bd Alexandre Clair, in the former convent. The garden will reveal lapidary remains while inside the house will be presented wall frescoes... and many other secrets.
