But, in many ways, these representations are also very timely: what do the Amerindians who live in the region today have to say about them? Is it a coincidence that the first works of «Land Art» were created in the landscapes that their ancestors had occupied and animated? And how do these prehistoric images inspire contemporary artists?

The charters built large agricultural buildings to collect the proceeds of tithing (tax in kind). The Grange Dimière de la Courrerie is the majestic witness of their wealth. Mentioned in 1549, it is rebuilt in 1658\. This real agricultural cathedral measured 22.5 meters in facade, 35 meters deep, and 18 meters high to which must be added a low level of stables. The Grange Dimière suffered a major fire in 1906 and its length was reduced by half. In 1993, it was restored and transformed into a cultural place. Listed as a historic monument, it has been hosting summer exhibitions of contemporary art and numerous cultural events since 1994.
