Street art course
This year, the City of Clermont-Ferrand inaugurated its Parcours de Street Art, a project resulting from the first participatory budget and entirely dedicated to urban art. It is a collection of five large and unpublished murals, made by local artists and by artists of national and European renown. The idea was to bring art to the streets of the city in the image of an open-air street art museum. Each of these works was designed to integrate into its environment with the presence of the plant as a common thread among all. Take advantage of the Heritage Days to discover three of these urban works, geographically close: • 18 rue Jean Richepin: This abstract painting by the Italian artist Tellas immerses us in his vegetal universe, a plant rises and then melts in the sky, divided into different points of view. • 14 rue du pont naturel: This surrealist work, tinged with poetry, was made by Lyon artist Loraine Motti, in connection with the history of the district and the former abbey of Saint-Alyre. • Fire station at 11 place Tugot: The lively and colorful rooster of the Spanish artist Aryz gives pride of place to the living and the values of bravery and protection embodied by the animal. And perhaps those further away: • skate park of the Philippe Marcombes stadium at 121 Av. de la Libération This work was made by four artists Rino, Cofee, Repy of the Clermont Supreme Legacy collective and Esor. They imagined a painting with a very «street» character in direct echo with the sliding activities of the place. • 1 to 3 rue Jacques Brel (opposite 4) in the La Glacière district The four artists Waro, Epok, Deft and Repy, from the Clermont-Ferrand collective End to End, have created a collective work inspired by the Amazon rainforest that addresses the issue of the presence of nature in the city.
