On the occasion of the publication of their book, Brigitte Palagi, photographer and Olivier Domerg, writer, invite you to a discovery of the Monts du Cantal that return in spring, this high garden that exhaussent and both soften the return and the abundance of green.

Maison de la Faune Former Murat Sub-Prefecture Hotel, this building dates from the 16th century. It was owned by the Teilhard Laterrisse family. Today the Maison de la Faune presents on four levels collections of a rare quality.
The sub-prefecture of Murat was abolished in 1926, the building became the House of Fauna: this magnificent mansion of the sixteenth century houses more than 8,000 species of insects, butterflies and beetles, from all over the world, which will dazzle you with their beauties. A splendid naturalised heritage to discover with nearly 800 mammals and birds presented in reconstituted biotopes. The animals are presented to you in their environments, all in a sonorized atmosphere. Since 2019: the collection is growing, a wolf joins the permanent collection.
