Women of Nicaragua

Photographs by Jacqueline Isoard

During her travels to South America, and here in Nicaragua, photographer Jacqueline Isoard was struck by the power of these women who seem to rule the markets both lush and of great poverty. The splendour of the colors refers to the hardness of life that shines through these strong, harsh, uncompromising faces. About twenty large, medium and small format photos exhibited in the lower part of the Chapel of Peipin, recalling the universality of heritages and matrimoines for all. The exhibition will be open every Sunday from 19 September to 17 October from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
