François Cornevaux holds his audience in suspense for 2 hours around the history of this industrial site, the trees and the park, as well as the history of the characters who marked the site, including Julie-Victoire Daubié (first Bachelor of Science in France, born in 1824 at the Manufacture where his house was labeled Maisons des illustres), Cavour (founder of the Italian Unity in 1839) or Jules Méline (founder of the Order of Agricultural Merit).
The visit to the Manufacture park allows you to discover the famous beech tree and the rare species that testify to the rich industrial past of the estate (ginko biloba, catalpa, tulip tree of Virginia). - Exhibitions in the coal market and in the new Etamerie
In the coal hall, destined for the storage of charcoal, we can discover the exhibitions that retrace the history of tinsmith, thanks to the research of Chantal Starck, Remi Ritter...
• The exposure The Imprint of Great Men
It tells the story of these “Great Men”, Vosges, Romarimontains, Lorrains, Italians, presidents of the Vosges department, master blacksmith, marshal of France, artist, architect, president of association, founders… but also the great men who touched the history of the Royal Manufacture from near or far.
For 300 years, they have left their mark on our economic and political history, drawn from the municipal archives of Remiremont and from Jean Pierre Puton, descendant of Georges Puton, founder of the Royal Manufacture of Bains-les-Bains.
• Exhibition of the Departmental Archives of the Vosges on The Old Vosges Metallurgy
It demonstrates the power of the Royal Manufacture, the jewel of the industrial heritage. Its founder Georges Puton, then the successive leaders have managed to preserve this domain intact. The exhibition is enriched by the work of various artists (F.Labrude Poirier, Emmanuel Perrin, Maylis Chavane, Nicole Buck gallery, Marie Joseph Castel, Christine Ganter).
