Ancien domaine d'Auguste Rolland
1 rue Auguste Rolland, 57580 Remilly
The current owners open their property of 4 hectares, symbol of local heritage, in Remilly. This was the former estate of Auguste Rolland (1797-1859), painter and architect of the 19th century, emblematic figure of the town of Remilly.
Before that, this domain was the convent of the Sisters of Saint Christian.
The park, a true setting of light and greenery, is rich in particular of several wild beech trees, tree symbol of the town. Embellished with works of art by the Lorraine painter-sculptor Paul Flickinger, it is only more fascinating and mysterious. Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the property’s art gallery where many of the artist’s works are exhibited. Finally, they will be able to realize that contemporary art naturally resonates with architecture and nature.
