The current town hall of Neufchâteau is an old(former) mansion rebuilt from 1578 till 1594 on a basement of the XVth century for a rich trader of grains(beads), Jean Mengin de Houdreville: decorated facade, rotating staircase dated of 1594, well of XVIÈ S. To discover: the staircase of Renaissance style, with its 5 landings (1594) and its ceilings decorated with geometric or plant motives (oak, vineyard(vine), olive tree) and cellars.
