The surroundings of Bar-le-Duc are rich in strongly worked, sculpted churches... so much so that this church of Naives-Rosières would seem almost banal compared to those of other villages, while it is of quality: It has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1989.
For those with a keen eye, we are not indifferent to this small stone vessel of Savonnières that lights up the sunset. Built at the end of the 15th century, the church of Saint-Maurice was completed in 1508\. Although the Renaissance is beginning to appear, the ogival style dominates but already tends to become flamboyant. Various chapels, modifications, additions will be made over the centuries. One notices in particular a beautiful virgin with the crowned child which seems to date from the seventeenth century. On the facade, there is also a sun and a moon, probably litanies of the virgin.
Let us not pass to Naives-Rosières without stopping at his church because, even if it is not often open, its exteriors hide unexpected
