Musée de l'Art Forain et de la Musique Mécanique
Place Aristide Briand, 54800 Conflans-en-Jarnisy
- Meurthe-et-Moselle
- Grand Est
In a fabulous fairground art decor combining wooden horses, sculptures of rides and period paintings, the Conflans Museum makes you rediscover the accents of the old-fashioned party.
This museum offers the visitor a very complete collection of pieces of mechanical music ranging from living room instruments, the mechanical mechanical organs and even a gigantic Orchestrion DECAP 8 meters long and composed of 8 instruments with «mechanized» operation. Complementing this collection, the museum also presents a collection of automata, including whistle birds and the family of syringes, merlin and perrroquette that reminds the visitor of the contribution of Lorraine and Mirecourt to the history of mechanical music.
