During the European Heritage Days, you will discover, in the Dionysian workshop of Marc Guillermin located in old clothes dryers, the different facets of the craft dinandier this ancient technique of metal sheet beating but also his work as a metal sculptor through his creations exhibited in his studio.
On this occasion, in this place of creation, others artist workshops will also open their doors and their artistic universes.
In his work, Marc Guillermin, tries to reveal the hidden sweetness of metal by realizing sculptures and art objects made of welded steel and hammered sheet all in light and sensual waves.
In his plays, inspired by the shifting cycles, he tries to make appear clouds, waves or flames...and wring the neck to the reputation of hardness and coldness of the metal.
Soothing forms designed to do good to the eyes, to the touch, to the thought and to our sensitive world.
What you need to know:
The Bateaux-Lavoirs building on the edge of the Canal Saint-Denis, yesterday communal laundry dryer, is a place of artistic creation with a collective of about fifteen workshops for painters, sculptors, artisans or photographers.
