Built from 1220 in the part of Santenay then called Narosse, Saint John is then a chapel. It did not become a parish church until around 1270. It is then formed of a nave flanked by two collaterals in late Romanesque style, with probably a flat choir surmounted by a comb bell tower. Several restoration projects, until the last one that has just ended (2004 ), have allowed to restore its aspect of the XVth century.
