This corn exchange, called in the past covered market, was located along the medieval ramparts of the ducale city(estate) and lined by Leysse, river which throws(casts) itself into the Lake Bourget. This disused building(ship) from the XIXth century served as place of vote during the meeting of the Savoy in France. It was transformed in 1880s into museum-library(-bookcase). The museum of Fine Arts suggests in old(former) prestigious collections marked by Italy. It is across the history(story) of collections, the history(story) of the Savoy but also by curiosity and exceptional qualities of works that this set(group) of paintings(paints) can be read. Today, the museum of the Fine Arts of Chambéry develops a new attractivité thanks to its opening in contemporary art.
