The church Saint-Hubert follows a place of worship and necropolis of the 1st millennium. Mentioned as belonging to the abbey of Gorze, it will be done up in "church-hall("church-market) « in the XIIIth century, one of the most old(former). The building is compound(made up) of a nave in three vessels (of the same height about nine metres) and in three spans only. The portal(gate) of the church keeps(preserves) a tympanum representing the vision of Saint-Hubert. A turret in cantilever, visible in the angle northwest of the nave, manifests the period of fortification of the building. Also, tracks of crenels(niches) of the terrace the North are still visible. In the XIXth century, they rediscover the frescoes of the XIIIth century representing the «Credo of twelve apostles», covered at present with a whitewash but some tracks of which it is possible to see. The church Saint-Hubert is listed(classified) in conformance with(for) historic monuments since 1921.
The Aître de Waville (and Aîtres Médiévaux of the valley of the Rupt de Mad) It is after the year ten hundred that aîtres (primitive(initial) necropolises) of the Valley of the Rupt de Mad began to get organised in strong villagers. This enclosure contained the old(former) cemetery joined with the church with tour(tower, ballot) - bell tower surrounded by an alleyway, herself fitted tightly round in the wall trained(formed) by the joined houses. No house of the aître of Waville distinguished itself from others: it was about a Community aître reserved for people of identical social status, any subjects of the abbot of Gorze.
