European Heritage Days: Digital Space in the Palace of the Government

The City of Nancy celebrates its heritage this year across a space devoted to the digital tools.

As part of European Heritage Days, placed this year under theme by «the art of division(sharing)», the City of Nancy intends to return its heritage accessible(approachable) to the largest number by organising a space devoted to the digital support(medium). So, six local services(departments) (Promotion(Valuation) of Heritage, Nancy Numérique, Nancy-Musées, Libraries(Bookcases), the local Archives and the Heritage Department) are going to make the demonstration of the digital tools which they developed for knowledge, mediation and division(sharing) of they responsible for heritage.
By their side, is invited to participate in event(demonstration): the Metropolis of Grand Nancy for the promotion(valuation) of the safeguarded sector and the Graduate school of architecture of Nancy, because heritage also has a contemporary value.

The Palace of the Government, built between 1751 and 1753 by Emmanuel Héré, establishes(constitutes) the architectural counterpart of the town hall which it faces. He(It) joins remarkable prospect(perspective) between the place(square) (old(former) Stanislas Royal place(square)) and the place(square) of Career(Quarry). During the reign of the duke Stanislas, king of Poland and father-in-law(stepfather) of Louis XV, he received the residence of the representative of France in Lorraine. He(It) represents the entrance(entry) of the Lorraine to the kingdom of France.
