This exhibition explains how new knowledge is built on discoveries from the 19th century in Vaud and Europe, in historical sciences and natural sciences. It offers a critical counterpoint on this new knowledge, showing their deep renewal thanks to the recent advances in genetics, datation or conservation/restoration.
For this purpose, the exhibition shows around 2000 artifacts, human remains and specimen from the collections of the MCAH and the Natureum, dating from the Paleolithic to the 21st century, coming from Egypt, Greece, Italy, France and Switzerland.
