The site of the former medieval settlement Gutenwerd is located next to the Church of St. Nicholas (St. Nicholas), by the road between the settlements of Dobrava and Drama, in the municipality of Stenjernej. About half an hour tour will begin at the Church of St. Nicholas, the only preserved building from the time of Gutenwerd. We'll look at her interior. We will go to the old well and then follow the "kolovoz" (field trail), where the medieval road once ran, to the remains of an archaeological excavated medieval church. It is protected by the roof of the architect Oton Jugovec as a monument and at the same time an exceptional example of modernist architecture. We will walk along the edge of the site, that is, along the riverbed of the stream, where the old Krka riverbed used to be, and return to the church. Suitable footwear is recommended.
