Visit of the hospital and the architectural heritage
The site of the Corentin-Celton hospital is an example of Napoleon III hospital architecture: the Saint-Sauveur chapel in neo-Romanesque style by the architect Marcellin Vera and the galleries that frame the courtyards.
Today, the hospital provides care around three major activities: geriatrics (rehabilitation medical care), psychiatry and rehabilitation. It has a modern and efficient technical platform (2500m² - 30 rehabilitation spaces).

Built in 1863, this fine example of Second Empire hospital architecture has been completely refurbished. The principle of courtyards and galleries providing good ventilation (in accordance with hygienist theories of the time) has been safeguarded, as well as the old chapel Saint-Sauveur, with remarkable painted and sculpted decoration. The hospital is today a geriatric structure unique in France and one of the largest European rehabilitation centres.
