Abstract
This research PhD work deals with the development of novel versatile and eco-friendly catalytic reduction reactions, combining blue-light irradiation with iron-catalyzed hydrosilylation, which enable the selective reduction, deoxygenation, and desulfurization of a broad range of esters, carboxamides, thioamides and thioesters under ambient conditions.
