“Museo Facile for the MACA in Frosinone: accessible and inclusive art”
The "Museo Facile" research lab of the Department of Humanities of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio works to make the language of art accessible and inclusive by all audiences. On May 18th, 2023 it offers a meeting to present the project "Museo Facile for the MACA in Frosinone: accessible and inclusive art." Scheduled from early October to the end of November 2023, the initiative is included in the field of Heritage Education and reserves a specific focus on accessibility and museum communication with reference to audiences with special needs in order to promote their cultural and social inclusion, and consequent well-being, through the privileged tools of art and its active and conscious knowledge. It consists in the elaboration and realization of cultural contents declined according to the criteria of usability for deaf and blind people and digital storytelling with original sound design on 5 contemporary artworks of the MACA-Museum of Contemporary Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone (FR, Lazio), co-designed and co-created during 45 hours of theoretical and practical training together with the students of the Institute. The action is included in the multidisciplinary project “LABinMACA-Inclusività”: a project focused on the dimension of inclusivity carried on with local and national partners. It aims at encouraging and promoting inclusive and integration processes in the local community through the knowledge of the artworks of MACA. It has the purpose of stimulating the individual and communitarian sense of belonging of the community to a part of its local cultural heritage.
