The privileged relationship between Meudon and sculpture continues in the new ecodistrict of Meudon-la-Forêt since the forecourt of the Enlightenment now hosts a sculpture of importance.
Les Portes is a work by Roxane Gouguenheim, selected from four proposals by a jury composed of artists' associations. Its shape recalls the dolmens that can be found in the forest, near the oak missions. The white color refers to the white of Meudon and the stone of the quarries, but also to the blocks of alabaster and white marble worked by Auguste Rodin. At nightfall, its white surface is adorned with video projections: a mapping of changing colors, inspired by fingerprints or networks. The allusion this time refers to the scientific and digital activities in which Meudon is engaged.
