5 rue Pierre-Guienne 95100 Argenteuil
In 2018, a collective composed of local associations, residents and artists met to bring before the municipality of Argenteuil a project to reopen a place closed for more than 10 years.
First a country house of a local lord, the building was erected as a hospital at the beginning of the 18th century before becoming a museum around the 1930s. It will be closed to the public in 2008.
From 2019, exactly 300 years after the beginning of the construction of the hospital and following long months of work and refreshments, it finally reopens in an unexpected form: a shared place!
The entire project of the Musée Sauvage is based on collaboration, the circulation of knowledge and know-how in order to promote autonomy and resourcefulness. The place comes alive with ideas, desires and encounters.
Resident associations and individuals are responsible for keeping the Wild Museum alive on a daily basis and ensuring its smooth running.
It is also a resource place: it aims to allow the greatest number
