Immersive project around the opera Bluebeard’s Castle by Béla Bartók (1881-1945)
Libretto by Béla Balázs (1884-1949), created in 1918 in Budapest
Creation in 2024 in Leipzig
The composer tells the story of Judith, who discovers the fears and loneliness of Bluebeard behind seven doors of her Castle. The director connects this solitude to that experienced by many elderly people and integrates their testimonies: voices from the inhabitants of Hauts-de-France resound at each passage of the doors.
The audience moves freely in the middle of the show and can be closer to the artists.

Projet immersif autour de l’opéra Le Château de Barbe-Bleue de Béla Bartók (1881-1945)
Livret de Béla Balázs (1884-1949), créé en 1918 à Budapest
Création en 2024 à Leipzig
Le compositeur raconte l’histoire de Judith, qui découvre les peurs et la solitude de Barbe-Bleue derrière sept portes de son Château. Le metteur en scène relie cette solitude à celle que vivent de nombreuses personnes âgées et intègre leurs témoignages : des voix d’habitants des Hauts-de-France résonnent à chaque passage des portes.
Le public se déplace librement au milieu du spectacle et peut être au plus près des artistes.

De componist vertelt het verhaal van Judith, die achter zeven deuren van haar kasteel de angsten en eenzaamheid van Bluebeard ontdekt. De regisseur verbindt deze eenzaamheid met die van veel ouderen en integreert hun getuigenissen: Stemmen van de inwoners van Hauts-de-France weerklinken bij elke doorgang van de deuren.
Het publiek beweegt vrij in het midden van de show en kan dichter bij de artiesten staan.
